Important People
Nov. 21st, 2017 02:51 amEdward Browne (Father)
Deceased. Had the gift.
Strict but kind, stoic, protective.
A major figure in Eleanor's life and the man responsible for teaching her almost everything she knows, both as a baker and as a cunning woman. While he was never overly demonstrative with his feelings, he adored his family, especially his children, and it showed.

Mary Browne (Mother)
Deceased.
Gentle, warm, supportive.
While Edward may have been the one Eleanor went to with questions, Mary was the one she would go to with problems or woes. She was always comforting, always supportive, always there.

George Browne (Older Brother)
Intelligent, snobbish, condescending.
George is, well, he's a bit of an arse, really. Not having the "gift," George never received the lessons in magic (and the extra attention) that Eleanor and Bess did. Combine this with their father's rather stoic nature and it isn't hard to see how he came to perceive favoritism where none was. This became the source of a long standing grudge. That said, he's a decent fellow deep down, and he'd help any of his sisters, if he had to.

Elizabeth "Bess" Jameson (Older Sister)
Protective, outspoken, loving. Had the gift.
The self-appointed defender of the family, Bess is always the first to speak her mind, no matter the topic. She isn't one to shy away from a conflict or to sugar-coat things--but there's also no one better to go to when you need support or a helping hand.

Alice Chapman (Younger Sister)
Gentle, sensitive, charitable..
The peacemaker of the family. Tender-hearted, sweet Alice is the only one who can get all the siblings to call a temporary truce. As the baby of the family, they all feel terribly protective of her, but, more than that, she's just such a kind and loving soul that they would do about anything for her. Harm her and the entire family (and probably a good deal of the neighborhood) is going to be after you.

William Millhouse (Husband)
Deceased.
Hardworking, jovial, loyal.
Good-humored and quick to make friends, William was known for a warm smile and a loud and boisterous laugh. Once won, his loyalty could not be shaken, and he was utterly dedicated to his family, especially to his children. Taken by the plague.

Anne Millhouse (Oldest Daughter)
Has the gift (not yet manifested).
Perceptive, clever, quiet.
Strangers often think of Anne as shy, but it might be more accurate to say that she sees more than she says. She isn't afraid of speaking to people; she is simply a clever, sensitive child, who prefers to observe the world around her and save her commentary for those she knows well.

Thomas Millhouse (Oldest Son)
Has the gift (not yet manifested).
Devoted, brave, spirited, reckless.
As the only surviving son and the only "man" in the house, Thomas feels it his duty to protect his family and he is incredibly serious about this task- far more serious than a five year old has any business being.

Margaret "Maggie" Millhouse (Youngest Daughter)
Seer (not yet understood)..
Empathetic, intuitive, social.
A tiny chatterbox eager to explore her world- but prone to wandering if not watched and easily upset by conflict. She's very attune to the emotions of those around her and often seems to know things that she really shouldn't.

Edward Millhouse (Youngest Son)
Deceased.
Affectionate, clever, curious.
A sweet, active, wonderful child, just starting to explore his world when he died. He was around a year old when taken by the plague.

Friendly
Father Nicholas Allard (Parish Priest/BFF)

Compassionate, intelligent, timid.
The parish priest and teacher of the local song school, Nicholas would rather avoid conflict. He's terrified of all the supernatural creatures that he faces on his adventures with Eleanor, yet he goes anyway. During the latest epidemic, he frequented the homes of plague victims to give them the last rites. In short: his knees may be shaking, but if he can help someone, he'll be there.
Robert Green (?????)
Faerie.
Affable, mysterious, flirtatious.
So far as Eleanor knows, Robert is just an average fellow- a causal acquaintance. In reality, he is a faerie, previously marked as a tithe to Hell, lying low and trying to be inconspicuous among the humans. This might work a little better if he weren't an incorrigible flirt.

Agnes Wright (Neighbor/Murder Victim)
Deceased.
Judgmental, prying, self-centered.
Eleanor knew her as 'that annoying nosy neighbor.,' the sort who was glad to peek over your fence and quick to pass judgement on what she saw. Nevertheless, when she was murdered, Eleanor felt the need to investigate. Secret lover of Walter Davies.

Walter Davies (Murder/The Revenant)
Deceased/Undead/Put to Rest.
Ambitious, ruthless, dangerous.
A fellow cunning person gone bad in the worst possible way- attempted demon summoning, murder, attempted murder, and then coming back from the dead to torment people again. Now that's just adding insult to injury. Secret lover of Agnes Wright.
